Ben Wheatley’s new film about a young doctor, who joins a community in a luxury building who exile themselves and gradually divide into violent tribes.
Tom Hiddleston is in top form as Dr. Robert Laing, the golden-boy who skirts the social scene of both the working class and the upper crust in their shared tower block in Thatcher’s England. Laing tries to keep his head down when the groups begin taking out their frustrations on each other with increasing violence, but he can only maintain his sanity for so long.
