Part of the Stepping Stones School celebration weekend for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to be performed at Undershaw where the Hounds of the Baskervilles was written in 1901.

A fast paced, far-fetched spoof of this beloved Holmesian classic, Conan Doyle’s famous novel is given a fondly farcical overhaul in this caper through, London, Dartmoor, and back to Baker Street!

After the death of Sir Charles Baskerville, Sherlock Holmes dispatches Dr Watson to Baskerville Hall in order to protect the new squire, Sir Henry Baskerville.

Navigating through a world of danger and intrigue, Watson endures some hair-raising encounters in order to look after his charge, but with a lethal hound on the loose and suspicious characters at every turn, will Sir Henry even make it to the end of the play? And more importantly, will Watson, ever have time to eat dinner?

Three actors play all the parts in this clever comedy that serves up the original plot of the famous story as you are unlikely to have seen it before..!

This special performance is being performed as part of Conan Doyle Weekend at Undershaw, Conan Doyle’s family home where he wrote the original “The Hound of the Baskervilles”.
