A tale about Neptune trying to make the King of Crete kill his son and including storms, earthquakes and monsters inspired Mozart to compose some of his most magical music.  Unlike The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi Fan Tutte and The Magic Flute, Mozart’s opera Idomeneo is not often performed.  Therefore what a treat is in store for you if you come to the Haslemere Musical Society’s concert on Saturday 16th May in the Haslemere Hall at 7.30 pm The orchestra and chorus will perform some carefully selected excerpts to delight and enthral.

The conductor is James Ross.
