The story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. The two assassins fall in love and return to London to live what at first seems an ordinary and carefree existence. That is until Vatan is told that Beasejour is suspected of being a Nazi spy in deep cover and he will have to uncover the truth and deal with the consequences. Hitchcockian in tone with thrilling twists, Allied is written by Steven Knight and directed by Robert Zemeckis.
