Following on from 2011’s ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’, an apish Andy Serkis returns as chimp king Caesar, the leader of a primate army that is preparing for war.
The story picks up as human civilization has been all but decimated by the proliferation of the deadly Simian flu virus. The small band of human survivors that remain on Earth attempt to forge a fragile peace with the genetically evolved apes, but it’s soon apparent that they are heading for a full-blown interspecies war.
