Groundhog Day is a 1993 American fantasy comedy film directed by Harold Ramis and stars Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell, and Chris Elliott.

It tells the story of Phil Connors (Murray), a cynical television weatherman covering the annual Groundhog Day event in Pennsylvania, who becomes trapped in a time loop, forcing him to relive February 2 repeatedly. Many towns across America celebrate Groundhog Day, a centuries[1]old tradition, where a weather-predicting groundhog determines if there will be six more weeks of winter or if there will be an early spring. This event takes place on the 2nd February each year.

A unique event for Haslemere Hall, celebrating a film on it’s tie-in day. And the first time showing a classic film one the big screen
