THE REASON I JUMP (12A) – Charity Film Screening
Wednesday 6th October @ 8:00PM
[£12.50 plus 50 pence booking fee for all ages.] Buy tickets online or [box office: 01428 642 161]
The Mayor invites you to a special Charity Screening of a new international film with a local connection.
The Reason I Jump, a BBC Book of the Week, is about a Japanese autistic boys’ explanation of the world as he sees it, and the film of the same name illustrates that by reference to three groups of autistic people’s contemporary experience.
It’s produced by and features Jeremy Dear and his autistic son, Joss, Jeremy being the brother of Haslemere’s Mayor, Simon Dear.
The film distributor has waived all fees for this one evening in order that all proceeds of the Haslemere showing can go to the Mayor’s charities and to a new school, featured in the film, being set up for autistic children at the moment.
Simon will host a Q&A session with his brother after the film, when guests can ask any questions they may have.
Please come along and show your support.
