On Saturday 1st April 2017, local composer Clive Osgood will be conducting the Haslemere Singers and a professional string ensemble for an evening devoted entirely to his own uplifting music. Featured owrks will include established choral pieces ‘Dixit Dominus’ and ‘Hymn to the word’, and his shortlisted entryto the 2016 BBC Radio 3 Carol competition. The concert will also include the first performance of ‘Beatus Vir’ for choir and strings as well as a sneak preview of the incidental music for Clive’s new opera ‘A Midsummer night’s dream’, which will be premiered on May 27th as part of the Haslemere Festival.
