Talk: Clandon Park – a great house laid bare, with Mike Swaddling

This is the Grade 1 listed Clandon Park before the tragic fire that reduced it to a burnt-out shell in April 2015. Years were spent painstakingly analysing the remains in preparation for the restoration to its former glory of this 300-year-old Palladian mansion belonging to the National Trust – only for the original plans to be abandoned last year in an innovative and ground-breaking change of direction that gives Clandon a unique future and will make it a must-see for all historical house lovers.
