Proms in the Park

Lion Green, the scene of Haslemere’s memorable 2012 Jubilee Celebrations, is once again the scene of a local landmark concert. A 50 strong orchestra, supported by a massed choir of more than 100 voices will present you with an musical evening to remember! The choirs include the Festival Chorus, the Excelsis Singers, the Bourne Singers, the Royal School Choir and the award winning St Edmund’s School Choir.

 

The programme has something for everybody and will include:

Why not bring your own picnic and dine out Glyndebourne style? As you set up your picnic (tables & chairs encouraged), you will be entertained by the Bohunt Big Band and the combined Woolmer Hill and Rodborough Bands who will be playing from 6 pm. The concert itself will start at 7.45pm. There will also be a variety of hot and cold Food Stalls available, together with Haslemere’s ever popular Lion Bar – selling Pimm’s, Wine and Real Ale.

Gates open at 5 pm. Ticket prices are £10 per adult and £25 per family of four (two adults, two children) if booked before 1st May. From 1st May prices are £12.50 per adult and £30 per family of four.
