One year on from Pete’s untimely passing, the Dodd family and friends have organised an evening of entertainment in celebration of Pete’s life and love of music.

Pete’s contributions to the local music scene included coordinating a community choir and playing in several bands; most significantly the Dodd family outfit -‘The Elastic Band’- and local jazz band ‘Sounds so Familiar’.

The line-up for the evening includes: the Dodd family (featuring popular local musician, and Pete’s son-in-law, Daniel Grinter); swing-singer extraordinaire Frankie Novak; unique cabaret artist Dominic Mattos; a cappella group The Kitchen Quartet; well-known local musician Vic Cracknell; comedian Nadia Kamil -fresh from her success at this year’s fringe; local singer/songwriter Jonathan Thompson ; the afore-mentioned ‘Sounds so Familiar’; original musical-comedy act The Petworth Peoples Musical Collective, the breath-taking Donal O’Hanlon and Derval Campbell, plus more performances from further afield!

Proceeds for the evening will go towards helping young musicians at All Hallows School, Farnham – “The Peter Dodd Award for Commitment to Music”.
