The programme begins with Wagner’s haunting Siegfried Idyll. The Society’s brilliant lead cellist is the soloist in Faure’s Elegie and Saint-Saens’ Allegro Appassionato and to complete a delightful programme the orchestra will play Mendelssohn’s Symphony No 3 (Scottish).
