The HMS Orchestral Concert in St Christopher’s Church, Weyhill, on Saturday 19th October features music by Ravel, Fauré and Brahms. Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin and Fauré’s Suite: Pelléas et Mélisande are both atmospheric pieces suited to the intimacy of the Church. The Serenade, written by a young Brahms, is bucolic in style and suggestive of the open air. The programme, conducted by James Ross, will please all those who enjoy beautiful music in intimate surroundings
