Disguised as a nun, she finds herself constantly at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and the suspicious watch of Mother Superior. The choir nuns, learning that ‘Sister Mary Clarence’ has a background in music, elect her to take over as Choir Director. She accepts and helps them find their own inspirational voices, culminating in charismatic, musical performances which breathe new life into the choir, church and community – but in doing so, blows her cover…..
